Senior VC++ MFC Developer

VC++, MFC, STL, Stringray is a plus, Design Patterns, Win32 APIs, Thread Synchronization, SQL, Event Driven Programming, Tibco is a plus

Job description:

A successful candidate will have excellent VC++ skills, knowledge of the MFC and Win32 APIs, be a self starter and take personal responsibility and pride in delivering robust, efficient software.

Responsibilities will include:

* Design and development of desk top applications for investment teams.
* Take ownership of research, design, implementation, and delivery of new applications and features.
* Collaborate with teammates and users to understand and address issues.
* Develop adequate documentation at all levels.

Required Skills:

* Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
* Knowledge of finance and equity markets.
* Expert skills in VC++.
* Experience building applications (client/server) and client libraries on the Windows platform (MFC).
* Experience with multithreaded applications.
* Proven ability to deliver high quality code.
* Proven demonstration of creativity and eye for presentation of applications.
* Experience in the entire software development cycle (concept, design, development, testing, release, support).
* Strong communication skills.
* Proven team player.
* Familiarity with source control systems in a shared environment.
* Experience with STL.

Preferred Skills:

* Experience developing commercial/shrink wrapped software.
* Experience with Stingray/BCG or other component suites.
* Competent with builds and scripting.
* Strong SQL skills.
* Familiarity with Tibco messaging.
