MFC Applications developer

C/C++/MFC, Win32, COM/DCOM

Client is a leading developer of semiconductor system solutions for wireless communications products. The software development team is looking for an individual who will work on software applications development projects.

Responsibilities
The main responsibilities for this position are:
Architect, design, and develop software applications and tools for wireless networking on Windows OS platform
Interface with product marketing, customers to gather requirements and then lead design and development
Assess and scope customer feature requests to determine engineering project plan
Support software releases during test and release cycles

Qualifications
The person in this role should have the following capabilities and qualifications:
Strong understanding of Windows OS
Hands on experience using C/C++/MFC, Win32, COM/DCOM, multithreading and OOAD
Experience in design and development of advanced GUI applications
Experience in interface to NDIS device drivers
Knowledge of networking protocols, security concepts, 802.11
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with full software life cycle
Product architecture, design, implementation and testing experience
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
6+ years of applicable work experience

Visual C++ / MFC Developer

Visual C++/MFC developer. This is a 3 month contract to hire opportunity offering up to 85000 per year once the position goes full time.

They need experience working with devices over RS323, USB and TCP/IP connections. Our client requires a MS Visual Studio, VC++ 6.0/MFC app developer/engineer who has strong SQL skills to help the organization adjust to changing business trends and introduce additional functionality to their Quality Assurance practice. This candidate should be tenacious and methodical; the right candidate will be able to determine where code breaks, troubleshoot the issue and enact innovative solutions to improve efficiencies. The C++ Engineer will also be responsible for creating custom-built technology solutions to be deployed in the QA lab that will help emulate prod environments, automate test dbase loads, create intelligent code sniffers … anything that will help improve the quality of product releases. Our client environment maintains a mixed-bag of technologies, from VC++, VB/ASP.Net/C#, Java, heavy SQL and Crystal Reports, etc.
